“Puget Sound’s Secret Halibut Hotspots”

 Learn where to catch Puget Sound’s biggest bottomfish – the Pacific halibut from halibut expert and outdoor writer, John L. Beath.

Beath’s popular seminar will show anglers where to look for halibut close to their home port of Friday Harbor. He will also share years of halibut fishing experience gained while filming hundreds of hours of underwater halibut video, “Underwater Secrets of Catching Halibut, Rockfish & Lingcod” and from fishing the entire west coast.

The digital presentation includes numerous local marine charts and how to find new halibut hotspots. Beath will bring some of his unique tackle and show several simple but very effective halibut rigs that will help anyone catch more fish. As an added bonus, learn about the halibut’s seven senses including how halibut see, hear, smell, taste and how to take advantage of the halibut’s senses. 

Halibut anglers are invited to bring their halibut tackle box for a show and tell of how to improve their own tackle.
